Miniature Convoys
The work documents an intervention of a miniature convoy of altered toy cars, trailers and buses. As a direct exploration into my childhood memories of living in the New Age Traveller community, the miniature installations became dioramas featuring the docile acts of everyday life, highlighting the slow pace within a travelling lifestyle. The convoy was situated at various sites throughout Devon over the course of two weeks for 24 hours, and later culminated in a series of 6 looped video works in the gallery. The work implores the viewer to slow down, look closely, and take note of the small signs they might have otherwise missed.
