Wanderlust

The culmination of a Contextual Enquiry Project into the memories of New Age Traveller children, this installation consists of a wooden camp bed made up with a constructed patchwork quilt. The individuals involved in the research for this project donated photographs and pieces of material to construct this patchwork quilt. The piece illustrates the interwoven childhoods of the individuals involved within the project, and draws upon notions of comfort, childhood security and the layers of memory, identity and sharing.
